Low Height Lockers at Elland Church of England Primary School
The Elland Church of England Primary School is situated in Elland, West Yorkshire and caters for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11. The school serves the local community and welcomes children from different faiths, backgrounds and abilities. The school aspires high standards of behaviour and achievement.
The school contacted 3D Lockers in March with a requirement for new school lockers. Storage space was required for school children to store their coats, bags, sports kits and personal items away in a secure place so corridors and classrooms were not cluttered with overflowing coat pegs. Leaving belongings in corridors can create an obstruction and pose a trip hazard if the building has to be evacuated in case of a fire.
3D Lockers visited the school free of charge and took measurements in order to prepare a design to see where the lockers could fit. The ideal location for the lockers were in the school’s corridors, placed banks around the school, so were purchased in nests of 3 to save on cost and installation time.
Low lockers 1382mm high with three doors were installed, along with a selection of full height school lockers with four doors. All lockers were fitted with hasp & staple locks which enabled them to be secured with a padlock and eliminate the use of keys. Our range of low lockers are very popular with primary schools so smaller children are able to the top compartment.
All our lockers are manufactured to BS46080 which is the industry standard for clothes lockers. Reinforced doors are used alongside 3 knuckle hinges for added strength and increased security. This also allows doors to be replaced easily.
Our metal lockers feature an anti-bacterial BioCote powder coated finish as standard, reducing the risk of bacteria such as MRSA and E.Coli spreading. This is particularly useful in environments where hygiene is of high importance such as in schools.
